Endoscopy Services

Colonoscopy

Colonoscopy is a common procedure where a specialist examines the inner lining of the large intestine to diagnose polyps, inflammation and bleeding.  The instrument used is a thin, flexible, lighted tube called a colonoscope. Colonoscopy is the gold standard for diagnosis of problems in the colon and rectum. This test is offered in our AAAHC endoscopy center.

Upper Endoscopy (EGD)

Upper endoscopy or EGD is a test in which a small tube with light at the end called an endoscope is used to examine the lining of the upper gastrointestinal tract (the esophagus, stomach and duodenum). Offered in our AAAHC endoscopy center.

Capsule Endoscopy

This test is useful in the diagnosis of unexplained GI bleeding, celiac disease, iron deficiency anemia.This test allows the doctor to see the lining of your small intestine. It employs a pill sized video capsule with its own lens and light source. Images are transmitted to a data recorder and are subsequently viewed on a video monitor.
